Key Summary Points
• Design: New front/rear lighting and front bumper/grille design for MY2009;
LED lighting technology for front DRL and side mirror lighting, as well as
taillights; new wheel program, and interior accent updates.
• Engines: All-new powertrain since 2009: 3.0 TFSI (supercharged) V6 with
300 hp for the USA; A6 is the only car in its class to continue to offer
100 percent direct injection engines.
• All-wheel drive: newly implemented 40/60 asymmetric rear-biased quattro

• Industry’s first NHTSA-approved indirect tire pressure monitoring system.
• Audi is the first car company in the U.S. to sell 100 percent of its gasoline
engines with FSI direct injection technology beginning with model year 2010.
Audi began racing with FSI direct injection technology in 2000 at Le Mans and
the American
Le Mans Series with the R8 FSI prototype race car. Since this technology
became available for U.S. consumers in late 2004 with the introduction of the
2005 A6 3.2 FSI, the list of Audi vehicles with FSI direct injection technology
has continued to grow.
